Description
This is a two-day internal auditor training course which is registered by IRCA, will provide essential knowledge to equip your skills to execute audits for Quality Management System (QMS), in according with the international standard, ISO9001:2015.
Aim of the Course
- To provide students with the knowledge and skills required to perform an internal audit of part of a quality management system based on ISO9001 and
- Report on the effective implementation and maintenance of the management system in accordance with ISO19011
In addition to this course, students must also complete an IRCA registered Quality Management System (QMS) Foundation Training Course to meet the full training requirements for initial certification as an IRCA registered Quality Management System (QMS) Internal auditor.
Course Learning Objectives
On completion, successful students will be able to:
- With reference to the Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle, explain the process-based Quality Management System (QMS) model for ISO9001, and the role of internal audit in the maintenance and improvement of Quality Management System (QMS)
- Explain the role and responsibilities of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up an internal quality management system audit, in accordance with ISO19011
- Plan, conduct, report and follow up an internal audit of part of a quality management system based on ISO9001, and in accordance with ISO19011

On completion, successful students will be able to understand and describe
- The purpose, structure and significance of a Quality Management System (QMS)
- The terms and definitions used in auditing, including objectives, criteria and scope
- The audit cycle
- Auditor/lead auditor responsibilities
- Planning and conducting audits of processes for which documented procedures do or do not exist
- Gathering and evaluating objective evidence
- Audit reporting and follow-up

- Delegate Assessment - Assessment is carried out by continuous assessment of delegate performance throughout the theoretical and practical phases.

Pre-requisites
- The students are recommended to have the following prior knowledge before attending this course:
a) Management systems
- Understand the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle
b) Quality management
- A basic knowledge of the concepts of quality management and the relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction
- Understand commonly used quality management terms and definitions, as given in ISO9000
- An understanding of the requirements of ISO9001, which may be gained by completing an IRCA-certified Quality Management System (QMS) Foundation training course or equivalent.
Qualification Awarded
Participants who successfully complete the training and pass the assessment, they can gain IRCA registered “Certificate of Successful Completion” which issued by Bureau Veritas Certification Hong Kong Limited.
